Being from the South where humidity prevails over all, we never really had to worry about wild fires. Sure there was the occasionally genius out in the mountains that wouldn't put out their campfire correctly, but never were we truly worried about natural forest fires. Not true out here. The first big fire of the season happens to be really close to where I was going today.
Holy smokes!! Sorry.
I hope these winds die down so the fire fighters can get this put out and allow thousands of people to return home.
Note: This fire ended up burning over 1,300 acres.
