Today is going to be a little different. Instead of just one picture, I'll do a few. I went to Raleigh today for the last time before I leave for Boston. It was definitely sad. I've spent the past 3 years at NC State and have had some amazing times there. I can't believe I'm saying goodbye. So here's just a few pictures I could take while in the car (I also managed to bring my camera, but the memory card was in my laptop...). Don't worry, Mom, I only took these pictures while stopped.
Ahh the wonderful garbage trucks. I love how you can expect to see trucks of any kind adorned with NC State emblems within a half hour drive of campus.
The place to go for those awful non-science based classes that make you take those written tests in the infamous Blue Book. Everywhere else will charge you, but not PackBackers, they back the Pack.
The new Gumby's. Freshman year was filled with WISE meetings in Lee Hall that were always catered by Gumby's Pokie Stix. Don't even bother to buy pizze, just get pizza crust with no sauce, tons of cheese, and some herbs and spices, aka Pokie Stix. Gumby's was also the food of choice for the all-nighters we would pull in the bookstacks of DH Hill Library and the place to go after the late nights going to house parties off of Hillsborough.
The Wolfline. The crazy Wolfline buses. Never step infront of one of these, think they're not stalking you as you cross the street, or be sitting in your car at an intersection where one of these monsters is turning. Why? Because these drivers are always right, in their minds at least. Don't get me wrong, I took advantage of these buses when I had mono freshman year, when it was super hot or cold, or when I had 15 minutes to get from one corner of campus to the next.
Finally, after exploring the almost-clear-of-construction-mess Hillsborough Street, I had to go to Sushi Blues one more time and get the Wolpack! Of course. It is so delicious.
My last trip to Raleigh. Oh how I love this place and will miss it, the people, and the spirit of this awesome community. GO PACK!
