I have a case of limp stick. That is, my celery does.
I had heard that you could take not-so-crispy-anymore celery and put it in an ice cold water bath and let it soak for awhile and it will regain some crispness. How much depends, I suppose, on how limp celery is in the first place. Mine's not too bad, but I'd like it to regain a little so it'll keep longer.
Anyone have suggestions on how to keep the limp celery from occurring in the first place?
Note: This didn't work at all. Save your ice and just make some soup so it doesn't matter how crispy your celery is.

What a great trick! I never would have thought! Thanks!
