Much to my relief, there are Chic-Fil-A's in Colorado. That wonderful place that, when you order something chicken (which is practically all they have other than some things on their breakfast menu), you know you are going to get an actual piece of chicken. You bite into it and it looks just like you've cooked a piece of chicken at home, plus all the fried and breaded goodness. It is undoubtedly chicken. No mystery meat or dark spots. Just delicious and moist white meat chicken.
So when I found out that they are doing free breakfast on Wednesdays (I've heard from a friend that it's Tuesdays in NC, so check with your local Chic-Fil-A), I knew exactly what I was going to have for breakfast today.
A spicy chicken biscuit. Oh my. I'd tried the spicy chicken sandwich when it first came out and wasn't incredibly impressed with the spiciness (I needed more spice!), but this was perfect. Pipin' hot and with just the right amount of spiciness for breakfast. Not to mention the delicious Chic-Fil-A biscuit that never fails to make me close my eyes and let out a little Mmmm.
Now I know this isn't exactly the healthiest breakfast someone could have, especially when trying to drop a few L-B's, but it comes in at 450 calories. Not bad at all for a delicious biscuit and piece of fried chicken. Especially if you're like me and don't snack during the day, then I'd say that's just about right.
