Day 143

Today's endeavor was to hang curtains in the bedroom.  There is a very large window in there, which, don't get me wrong it's great, but it lets in a tremendous amount of light.  We wanted blackout curtains to, A: keep out as much light as possible, and B: to help keep some of that cold air out!  The downside, this is a big window, meaning big curtain panels, meaning $$$.  But thank goodness for Big Lots.  There's one about 10 minutes from the apartment and I managed to get two panels from $12 each, that's about 50% off of what they sell for at Target and WalMart!  Success!  Another downside to the big window meant spending more on a curtain rod.  That was the big purchase, ringing in at about $23.  And the things that hold the curtains back when open, $13.  Whew.  But now we've got nice curtains and will be able to get some nice, dark, sleep!
